Mission

Capoeiristas For Change is a movement founded on Capoeira principles. Centering African and Indigenous people throughout the Diaspora, we work in solidarity with other marginalized groups working to end systemic racism and persecution against historically oppressed peoples through social actions, Capoeira principles, and educational and community programs.

Vision

  • Worldwide unification and solidarity among Capoeiristas in the struggle for justice and Liberation.
  • Co-creating a world with dignity, unity, knowledge and understanding, by leading actions, supporting organizations and events that take a stance against oppression.
  • Uplift, support, and care for our communities.
  • Sharing and creating meaningful content in order to educate and inspire change.
  • Using the tools of Capoeira as liberatory practice, including movimento, canta, dança, philosophy, cosmology, history, and ritual.
  • Recognizing and promoting the intersection between ancestral and current struggles.
